it is official - theee mizzMAI has found a new job :)
ben hooked a girl up and i'm starting my new job as a food & beverage attendant at Tabcorp Park in Melton. yeah in the bush - but who cares. the city to me or the bush to me, same distance - but free parking *dances*
i was really weary at first - ben says i was a stubborn cow - coz i didn't want to work in a racing/gaming facility with scummy old men and smelly fanny flapped old women. but when i went to go check out the venue yesterday to my surprise it was gorgeous. take a look for yourself. $45 million dollars spent - it better be!
the racing and entertainment complex boasts a 41-room four star motel, function and conference rooms, bistro, gaming room, sports bar and TAB. it's set to open for business on next Thursday, March 5th.
i'm pretty excited to be part of something new and so exciting. i'm hoping that i can further my career and perhaps claw my way up the ladder and become events supervisor.
the banquet hall is gorgeous, seats 700 people and overlooks the future racecourse.
and everything is so new! I LOVE NEW!
i'm mainly going to be working in the bar/bistro/functions area, that is until i get my gaming license.
i feel like everything is coming together!

induction is tomoro morning - i even got out of work for racv to go LOL. i'm excited. everyone working will be new to the venue so we'll all be able to learn together. here's hoping i don't have a pool of douche bags.

haha hot shoes i don't think so! comfortable is more like it. but of course style is always a factor. but i will prefer comfort for work.
