i called asus technical support just before and "ben" answered. he advised me to try taking the battery pack out & powering with ac before i bring it into the asus repair centre.
asus ben was right, so far it's worked. butterfly has woken up, but i've taken precautions and she's operating in safe mode atm.
told my ben what happened, he says it must be an omen or something, that every ben in my life is here to help me. lol, boy so cute, makes me smile :)
i might still take butterfly in, because if they battery is playing up i might as well get a new one.
my ben is coming over tonight, i'll backup everything onto my portable harddrive before i send it in though, i can't bear to part with my files.
