so i've started to watch the first season of new zealand's next top model (nzntm).
not only did the first episode entice me more about me and ben's future trip to new zealand but new zealand girls are stunners.

there's a few things i don't like about the show. slightly more amature than the american original. i think sara - nzntm's host is a bit hostile and not really personable. the first show she was okay but now u only see her during judging and to be honest she's a bit of a cow.
also the judges don't pick up on how the girls dress during judging which annoys me the most. i mean what's the point of trying to get them to be models if they still dress like regular girls?
i've only watch up to the 4th ep - currently ep 7 is the latest - and i've seen the same sparkling silver dress in every judging panel. annoyance much? i mean... are they exchanging clothes or picking them out of the same wardrobe. carry bradshaw would never wear the same thing twice, and on antm one girl was told nah-uh for wearing the same thing twice. c'mon kiwis, you're not that blind are you?
anyways. here are my favorites for this season, hoping that they're still in it by the time i get around to ep 7!

christobelle.
a stunning 16 yo from auckland with a gorgeous face and amazing body. maturity beyond her years and she could easily take out this competition. she reminds me of a fabulous pixie which i love.





teryl-leigh
at 23, teryl-leigh has two kids aged 3 & 1. so much in this package, she's got a bit of a bogan accent but overall teryl-leigh's got amazing potential. she can rub the girls the wrong way which is amusing to watch.





rebecca rose
19 yo from auckland. she is unquely fierce with her slightly alien like features and her ranga red hair. she's dipped her feet into the modelling pool previously so she could be ahead of the rest.

13 girls... who will be new zealand's next top model. i'll let you know!

to miss k

SHIT SHIT SHIT!

i got so caught up in my technologic-cervic post (ranting about cervixs and all) and what bella can do that i totally forgot to give a special shout out to miss k (aka khrissa, that girl in the 5" heels)~!

ever since i got my phone, the first three days i was nagging her non stop with my annoying questions about the phone, three and the features i probably would've driven any other person insane. any form of communication, facebook, msn and text msgs i was all up in her business about my business - all because she has the same phone and works for three. why speak to an indian when you can speak to miss k? hehehe.

so she help me out ALOT. helping me with features, the internet, giving me tips about how not to get stuck paying excess for net usage and even helped me cut costs on my bill month to month. i must say this girl is awesome. me and khrissa hardly see each other, in fact i think we've only met a few times whilst dave and lasie were dating. but she's an awesome chick. we said from the get go that we were freakishly like twins, (only we both agreed i was the cooler one - even tho i'm younger, hey k? *wink).
helping me save for nz miss k is credited me and ben $15 a month towards our bill with a family and friends discounts.
she never got pissed when i would IM her a mass slab of text and questions, sent her ten msg replies in a row or nagged her over facebook and then she does family and friends? AWESOME.

this woman is one mighty fine woman, and her man matt, all the way up in sydney is a very lucky man.

thanks so much for helping a sister out miss k... you are truely fierceeeeeeeeee. :)

karaoke

now everyone loves it, everyone can do it when they drunk and some ppl have the confindence to do it when they're sober.

it was contemplated for dave's birthday, in which the birthday boy refused, shattered trangalang to the tee.

but most of all, being an asian household. you often experience karaoke quite young, your parents are having just a bit too much fun and they've decided to pop in a VCD and sing until our poor little eardrums bleed.

the first few times ben came to a family party of mine, this is exactly what happened. but growing up with the sounds of a dying cat makes you immune to it, if not just tolerant of it.
ben on the other hand... not so tolerant... i think he was nearly ready to pull out the power cord but wouldn't dare in case my dad was all "what yooo do-ing whitteee mann?!"

over facebook ben sends this lovely vid of karaoke... and deems it as "this reminds me of karaoke at yours". i'm thinking... oh shiteeeeee what is he going to throw at me.

i find it quite amusing, it is similar. but i find this more tolerable and no where near as bad HAHA.

mizzmai has been sick since saturday...
moaning, groaning, back aches, migraines, fevers, bloody flem, green flem, snotty nose, sore throat, swollen tonsils and ear aches are all the symptoms i've had for the last 5 days.

technologic-cervix?

so i went out with tina and michelle thursday night... just for a catch up over coffee and a bit of a window shop.
thought i'd go into three and see when i could upgrade... awesome news for me! I COULD... right there and then. :D

excited i was... i had been waiting since they rejected me a billion times before my birthday and before xmas, and i thought i would be waiting ages.

wait no longer. i introduce u to black bella... my new nokia e71.

she's so handy! i love it! took a while or my brain to realise i have qwerty now but am getting used to it.
it especially came in handy for the net. unlimited email & facebook! hehehe. but just useful in general.
an example of this was last night, mizzmai hadn't had dinner, was hungry so decided to use the 2 for 1 vouchers for grill'd she got in an email from tranglang.
so me, tranglang, dave and lizzie headed off. trangalang and i had been to highpoint earlier and the grill'd there is renovating, so the closest one was south melbourne. hey. if i'm hungry i'm hungry and i craved burgers. 2 for 1 burgers. lol.
anyways during dinner the conversation turned to a recent facebook thread. about someone and someone else's cervix. don't ask. so anatomy 101 became our topic. the location of the cervix to be exactly. pen's came out and tissues were drawn all over. graphic diagrams of the female genitalia made us LOL.
on the way to the car we agreed to google it when we got home... but we were all heading to our respective houses... how were we ever going to google it? BELLA to the rescue. went online and googled CERVIX. we found that you cannot actually enter the cervix. trang knew this all along. i felt like i didn't kno my own genitalia at all HAHAHA.

she's got so many features i don't even kno how to use yet and best of all.

sytycd australia loves talia!

so tonight was the finale of sytycd season 2 in oz. loves it! talia won!
i'm happy about this decision. last year i wasn't - i never saw jack's charisma or personality so i didn't understand why he won. but i think talia's just the cutest. and she's grown so much too!
it was talia and charlie in the top two - i would've been happy if either of them one, but as always i was secretly rooting for the girls!

so today i went searching for "that" interview miss taylor swift had on the ellen degeneres show that threw the former ex-jonas brother boyfriend under the bus.

i've downloaded taylor's album and she's got an amazing voice - especially for 18, but watching this interview made me like her even more. she's so bubbly and down to earth, everything a girl should be at that age, even with the fame and fortune. and the answers she gives ellen to questions like "what's it like to be a role model?" seem so honest.

i also love the way ellen interviews, it's not even like an interview. more just like a chat. so casual :) makes it easy to watch.

seems like "circus" is the perfect title for britney's latest tour, which is getting more media attention because of it's malfunctions rather than how great the tour actually might be.

now to those reading liz is my older cousin who has just graduated at the top of her class @ rmit, with a bachelor of engineering manufacturing and management (O_o) smart much??

due to this current economic financial crisis and the fact that jobs are hard to find and it is nearly impossible for a graduate to find a position, liz has been searching high and low to find a job - any job - even if it's not a grad one.

a few weeks ago i was walking into coles where i saw an advert "casual position 1pm till midnight" i immediately msgd those in search of work - liz, harvey and vic. harv & vic have both been coles boys before, and loathed it. and i received from both of them "AS IF" msgs back. liz on the other hand... "THANKS MAI! :)"
the next day i saw her and asked her whether she was going to apply "i have". i laughed. this one's quick.

so she's told me the good news today... SHE GOT IT! yay for income and yay for something to do other than bum! even if it IS coles. WHO CARES! moolah is moolah.

i'm very excited for u love, and grocery discounts for ur mum! haha she'll love that!

thursday night

so thursday night i caught up with the old racv girls, original dinner for mizzmai and miss jenna turned into "the more the merrier" gang of racv girls and a few guys. which turned into a bitch session about racv, many laughs about cat & jerry and some dancing and drinking too.
not many pics from the night. but it was my first and last chance to spend some drinking time with kitty cat before she goes back to adelaide on tuesday :( i work alot.

for the first time in a long time i came home stumbling. i recall having a few cocktails during dinner, a few midoris after dinner. a few shots at the lion. a few more shots at the lion. some dancing. and some more drinks. and then ben. driving home :)

just some thoughts that have come into my brain recently.
as you all know me and ben are planning a trip to new zealand together to celebrate the end of his bachelor's degree/his birthday/i've never been on a plane or overseas.
so i've started with the paperwork that is a passport application. bcoz i'm born after 86 i need my parent's proof of citezenship and blah blah. i went to my dad the other day to get these from him and told him about nz. happy he was not but told me that he can't really stop me.
his reasons for not wanting me to go include the following:

• i'm a girl, he's a boy.
  
• we're not engaged/married and therefore travelling together is not allowed.
• ben's parents will look down on me in shame because as a girl i should not be travelling with a boy that isn't me fiance/husband.
  
• he states he never said i could do this but i distinctly recall him last year replying "if you can save you can go whereever u like" > in reference to me and ben wanting to go to vietnam.

in reply i stated the facts that i'm old enough and should be allowed, ben's parents love me and don't think the way that he does about male/female relationships, and the fact that he gave me his blessing last year. come to think of it, i think he only gave me his blessing to shut me up and never ever thought i could save enough to go anywhere except in my car.

just a few hours ago i went off to the local post office to get my passport photos taken, no i shall not post a picture because it's hideous and i look like a fat square pumpkin. before i left my dad says "i need to talk to you later" and just a few minutes ago my older brother came over. i went out the back to take some trash out where i here my dad whispering "he's a boy, she's a girl" blah blah blah.
it really annoys me. i'm turning 21 this year and still got restrictions on my life. he always says i'm old enough but why doesn't he treat me like it.
my ammunition against this ridiculous ordeal:

• i have never stayed over anywhere since i was 15 and living with my mum, and rarely has it been with anyone except the cousins.
• i never went to schoolies after year 12.
• i can go clubbing like once a month if it's allowed and it's frowned upon if i'm home later than 3am.
• staying the night is out of bounds regardless of who it's with and the reasons for it.
• i suck up to do chores if i know a friend's birthday is coming up and i'll be out late.
• i leave ben's house at approx 11:40pm so i can get home before midnight. sometimes my dad still calls me at 10:30pm to ask why i'm not home yet.
• i pay for everything that i need. whether it be food, clothing, work expenses, car expenses and i even pay my own father for labour on my vehicle.
• i never ask a cent from him, if anything he always asks it from me because i pay the internet and i "haven't paid him this month yet"

this is one battle i'm not going to loose. i have every right to be able to be free and live my life. i can't be locked in a cage forever, and if it was up to me and i had enough money i'd be out of here so i could do just that.

sometimes these allegations are false. but now i believe sometimes they may be true. i guess you just have to spot the real from the fake.

she went clubbing in dallas recently. when i opened the first pic i looked at i was all "huh? where is brit?" then i looked at the next pic and i'm like *nods* "ohhh. huh?" i went back to the first pic and i'm thinking "really?!" she looks so different in both pics. take a look for urself.
