i stumbled across the fact that before her series "paris hilton's british best friend" she had an american version. i always knew that there was a series beforehand but i guess i never thought of watching it.
i don't know which one i perfer yet, but i'm leaning towards the british one, maybe it's because the contestants are much more beautiful, that there's only one gay guy in the series and they're not so stuck up themselves as american's are.
you can judge from the intro which ones you would prefer.
now i have to say, in the american series paris talks ALOT. unlike the british series which has voiceovers, but the american has her voiceover, whilst you watch her sitting on a lounge.
kinda boring, i mean i want to see the contestants not really you. you're plastered all over the internet and magazines and tv! i know what you look like woman! oh my goat...
so she has a sceptor in the american series, and still ends her goodbyes with TTYN, but her personality seems alot more "past paris" - i.e more harsh, kinda stuck up, you know what we're all used to 0 the whole i'm fabolous coz i'm paris deal. you also see a bit of benji madden - they were of course still dating so it's obvious why he's there. i don't really like his mug tho, not my thing.
oh and the burn book, after each contestant gets eliminated they are farewelled by the others who burn them in a burn book - i.e. write, draw or comment on them (mostly nasty stuff). i'm guessing that paris got rid of this because she wanted to seem more genuine/nice and also the fact that pommys aren't really like that anyways.
so i have to comment on this one character in the american series and boy is he(she) something. often mistaken for a girl, a gay asian guy by the name of onch who claims himself to be "the best of both worlds"
