adam & sarah's engagement party

saturday night was the celebration of adam & sarah.

adam is ben's older cousin, and they are pretty much exactly alike in personality and both gorgeous young men. sarah is the sweetest girl who like me has a shoe obssession :)

i couldn't keep my eyes off sarah's shoes that night, they were so gorgeous. her first designer pair but the chicken didn't wear them in before hand so she ran arond half the night with them off anyway LOL.

the engagement was celebrated at the bay in mordialloc, a simple venue with a great decor and awesome location, right along the mordialloc beach & pier.
the night was filled with laughs, especially from all the adults in ben's family and sarah's family booging the night away. i tell u what, ben's mum marilyn and aunty corrine woulda been the life of the party when they were younger. these ladies can dance!

there was one point in the night where ben went missing in the toilet. i don't even know what happened but his toilet break was about 25 mins to long, in which adam & alex both went to check on him. LOL. i don't even know if u knew u were gone that long baby haha.
after the party marilyn & ray (ben's parents) dropped us off at corrine & bill's (ben's aunty & uncle) where we stayed the night. it was so conveniet for us to stay there, as we were heading to wilson's promontry in the morning.
a restless night would be an understatement.
countless interuptions distrubed us as we tried to sleep.
#1 - jillie.
corrine, adam & sarah came home and somehow their dog jillie whirled into the house and jumped all over ben's head, he was sleeping on the floor while i took the couch. jillie also jumped onto the couch and all over me too. had to grab her and give her to sarah coz she refused to go outside by herself. little troublemaker
#2 - ben's toilet break.
ben woke up in the night needing to go to the toilet, disorientated and unsure of where he was i had to wake up and direct him towards the bathroom. sure enough in his drunken state he doesn't use the toilet but the bathtub... LOL. it's funny when i look back on it, not so funny at the time.
#3 - the weather
i woke up again due to the weather, hot and sticky sleeping on the couch i turned on the airconditioning to keep us cool. ben told me in the morning he nearly had frostbite ... sorry baby i forgot the aircon was aimed at u :P

eventful and memorable the night was enjoyed by all... those of us who remember it anyways *wink

been thinking about you a lot recently miss kitty.

maybe it's because i go back to work and realise i won't be working with you :( and that the place is just not the same without you. all the girls miss you and get together's just don't feel the same without you. *sigh*
i can't wait till april when your back in melbourne for a while... we must create many memories so you don't forget us during your two years overseas before you finally come back and be a true melbournian, instead of a melbournian living in adelaide. :D

i miss ur american accent, the way you flaunt your sexy self without even realising what your doing. they way all the boys fall over themselves to be near you. i feel so lonely i don't drink anymore because i don't wanna be the only one with asian flush. i've heard myself say "cellphone" recountless times, but don't care coz it keeps me connected to you. i miss the dream team in the conservatory. me you jess manisa tiah jerry. i miss how you were such a photowhore... and i knew if a flash came one you would go into poser mode. haha.

everytime i talk to you on msn u seem so depressed in adelaide... and don't worry, we miss u just as much here in melbourne. just do what you gotta do there and get the fuck out! come get some grapefruit juice in melbourne! LOL. we'll go shoe shopping, have mahjong marathons and pass out on jess' couch. haha.

it's like a heat wave

ok so it's not the type of heat wave martha & the vandellas were singing about, it's worse.
melbourne and the rest of australia has been experiencing a mass heatwave this week and i'm pretty sure everyone is dying.
yeah beach and pools are awesome, you can get a tan and what not but seriously. this weather is ridiculous! you can't do anything practical AT ALL. even the beach u gotta be in the water most of the time or you'll perish in the sun.

so today i had training at work. they've decided to change the standards, or clarify so that c+e is maintained to a 5 star level. getting to work was ridiculous, was planning to park at qv but it was full. i noe! full at 12.30pm! my guess is that it's because everyone is so sick of the public transport these days that it's just an easier option to park in the city. same situation with melbourne central. me and jess couldn't be fucked going to crown, and that would be chockas anyways. and the trip to RACV just wouldn't be worth it in the heat. so we made a conscious decision to park at work. for those who don't know parking at racv is a maximum rate of $48...
yes FORTY-EIGHT. and we ended up paying it. i was only at work for 6 hours. lol. but we went halves. stupid decision i know, but this weather makes u do stupid things.

on the way home the amount of buses in my way and the amount of cars that broke down were ridiculous. one guy even stopped in the middle of footscray road, got out of his car and popped his hood. shattered! i would've been so angry, you're car dying at any stage whilst on your way somewhere is gay. but in this weather! gayer than smithers in a pink leopard jumpsuit serenading mr. burns in the bathtub! LOL.

anyways, the victorian government has decided to give commuters a day of free transport. it makes me laugh how much they are trying to buy the patronage of melbournians. first the free icy poles after maybe 20ish cancellations, then free water bottles are about 30ish cancellations. and now just free transport, to make those who are actually foolish enough to catch PT even happier. if only we could get free shoes, clothes, perfume and makeup when they cancelled and discontinued our favorite beauty products or shoe designs.

i can't wait for this heatwave to be over... i had to sleep downstairs last night because the fan in my room just felt like it was circulating hot air over and over, it was so bad!
and i need to get my aircon re-gassed. it's just not good enough!

arghhhh. if only we weren't on water restrictions! we could be like this girl...
or maybe even this man? if your game enough... i don't know how you family/roommate/fan would feel about this public display of nudity. haha.

so as everyone knows PCD is coming to Rod Laver Arena on May 26.

me and trang jumped on this chance straight away, and i recruited lynh and jenna to come with. woke up at 8.45 on the day of pre-sale to get us good tickets. and good did we get! hehe. REFRESH REFRESH REFRESH... that is the art of ticket buying. they kept giving me shit seats, and you never settle for less than you deserve!
we're in section 24, which is pretty much center and row C, which is third row from the front... pretty good ey ;) I LOVES IT!

so last night i was watching youtube vids of the pussycat dolls, surprisingly footage of their glasgow, scotland concert is up, and in HD quality.
i decided to post up my favorite songs. these are constantly on repeat in the car.

i've always had a soft spot for ashley, she's always stood out to me. but this performance just ripped it for me, any girl that can sing a slow jam, have an amazing dance break and wear adidas definately gets the thumbs up from me! if you haven't seen make it happen watch her performance in that too.

in response to trang & kd's comments i found this video, i was amused to see evidence that nicole isn't always the best pussycat doll. sure she has an amazing voice but she isn't the ultimate doll. there were even points in the clip where i saw her look to the other doll bcoz i think she forgot the moves, she didn't seem too confident! (it's about 2min40secs)
my guess is it's never been an issue though coz she's always the lead, so she doesn't have to dance as often as the others, she can always stand still because she's "singing". *giggles*
