a new day has come

so today marks the end of an era... no more cublings no more babies... we are all young sophisticated and mature (? :P ...)

today is Mr Victor Nguyen's 18th birthday; the youngest cub in our cousin group he is currently in the midst of his VCE exams, which we can't wait until he's finished so we can get our crunk on, leave our junk all over the dance floor and party until no tomorrow.

i love my cousins, although by the end of this year many of us will part ways, dave going to japan, trang going to japan for a holiday with drew, myself juggling working/uni, pb full time working, vic starting uni, harv doing his reserves, lynh changing courses. we're all so busy busy... let's not loose the connection shall we cubblings??

so spent today getting pampered - got my nails done at highpoint... missed my acrylics so much and so glad to have them back, went to st kilda to get my hair done, cut & colour at toni & guy... a new look and a new me...
ready to start a new chapter of my life, now happily single and fancy free i'm loving where i am in life at the moment. i have the best friends, best family and a job that i love. uni is nearly over... for this semester anyways and summer is coming up! couldn't be more on cloud 9... to top it off mike is visiting melbourne this weekend with his best mate daniel, so should be an interesting weekend... they thought sydney is good... melbourne is so much better.

shopping spree!

so what is the best method post-break up? sad movies? tissues? ice cream? chocolate?
all the above are good... but nothing beats a good shop up. and shop to the muthafucken up is what i have done. :D

in the last two weeks i've spent both paychecks from work shopping... yes, i work my ass off to shop my ass off. it makes me happy, don't judge :P
i recently bought a new camera, after a recent clubbing incident where i stupidly placed my camera on the bar for a few seconds, only to have someone snatch it from under my nose :(

so that's been my first spending. last week myself, trang, lynh, liz and jenna headed to doncaster VIP night. it's all a blur now but from what i remember this is what i bought:
- ozmosis; cute little mink pink strip shrug
- just jeans; denim short shorts
- cotton on body; a mickey mouse singlet, pair of shorts & a couple of nighties,
- just jeans; coloured maxi dress
- diva; bangles & necklace
- bardot; slinky pleated black shrug
- portmans; cute white singlet with diamantes and pearls
- myer; tokito shirt and cardigan
- sportsgirl; sunnies & ring

after only an hour... then when i arrived home

was such a fun night... shopping being girls and just being silly. after shopping lynh headed home whilst the rest of us jumped in my car and headed for pancake parlour around the corner.
after being seated in a cramped boot we ordered and sat and chat, ordered again (seconds :P) in which trang felt like sharing... trying to feed me and in the process throwing her food at me and on top of myself and jenna's shared plate of country fries.

trang food fail!

funniest moment of the night... an even funnier, and more thrilling moment was after i paid. the lady gave me my card, and the receipt and i walked out the door. went to double check the amount when i noticed declined on the receipt. stunned i showed trang who's initial thought was RUN. tell her it is obliviously obvious if we run, i started to power walk. jenna and liz behind us were confuzzled, in which trang just told them to hurry up and get in the car. but once i got to the car i was in such a state of laughter i couldn't find my keys. trang was shitting herself as she was so scared that the woman would come back out with a pitchfork and hunt us down LOL.
finally jumped in the car and reversed out, slightly sideswiping the car next to me, who parked ridiculously close.
i felt like we were fugitives as i sped out of pancake parlour and down doncaster road.
what an eventful night it was...

the next night of shopping i've demolished my bank account with was just last week, highpoint VIP day and the VIP grand opening of DFO south wharf.
at first i wasn't gonna go, trang was in adelaide, liz isn't really a shopper, jen was busy hosting mike's family and lynh was too poor. boo. mizzmai was going to miss out on more shopping...
not if geslin could help it! :P
me and ges headed out for a massive day/night of girly fun... recently both separated from our boyfriends we needed some girl time :)
i picked ges up from her house and we headed out to highpoint, where in two hours, we both spent significantly over $250 each. i loved the stuff i got though such as:
- two new pairs of shoes :D

- cotton on body; leopard nightie, black cardi and some underwear
- bardot; laced back bubble dress
- ozmosis; mink pink singlet, grey knitted shrug, snake print skirt, stripped long waterfall cardi
- juts jeans; another pair of short shorts
- cotton on; two pairs of sunnies (can never get enough of sunnies)

after a quick and expensive shop we headed to uni, in which i tried, and failed to complete my assignments... ges tried to concentrate in class but in the end we msg'd each other constantly, got bored and headed back to highpoint for lunch.

it was then time for dfo... we hopped in the car and drove to south wharf.
excitement pulsating through our veins we were ready!

driving into south wharf this place is huge! you would never know it, because when you drive past it on the west gate you assume it's just part of the new convention centre.

the line to get in was huge, as we walked past we saw waiters prep a champagne station, the lights flashing round... wow, they had really gone out for this opening. waiting in line was freezing, but worth the wait.

the complex is huge, and the discounts were even better :D
i ended up getting some more:
- tony bianco; new black patent clutch, super cute
- factorie; a cute purple tee, disco like singlet and a hooded short sleeve cardi
- dotti; cropped biker jacket - adorable!

there were these leopard heels that i considered getting... i think i might go back, they were so cute. i have no idea when i'd wear them but they were only $60 so why not?! LOL
